The University High School Parents' Association (UHSPA) was established in 1982 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. The primary mission of the UHSPA is to assist students and their families during their four years at University High School, fostering a learning environment and support systems that contribute to academic success, while helping our students prepare for college.
What Our UHS Parents' Association Supports
We support our UHS students' academic success through a variety of activities, including outreach efforts, UHS Site Council representation, support of the BOOST program, parent engagement, teacher and staff appreciation, and monthly meetings. We provide academic support grants for teachers, the College and Career Counseling Center, Faculty and Staff Appreciation, BOOST Program for Freshmen, Graduation/Grad Night and so much more!
Why Your Annual Fund Contribution is Important
For the UHSPA to support for these important programs, we conduct an Annual Fund drive consisting primarily of soliciting donations from our parent community. We do not ask you or your child sell cookie dough, gift wrap, entertainment books, etc. We greatly value and appreciate our UHS parent community's financial contributions to our UHSPA Annual Fund. Please consider a yearly donation of at least $250 per student. We realize this is a significant commitment, but please consider this request in the larger context of what UHS is, what we do and how your investment helps our students achieve their academic and career goals.
Every Parent Contribution is Greatly Appreciated
We understand that some families can give more, and that for others any additional expense may be difficult. Clearly this means donations will vary, but generosity from all of us strengthens our community. Each year we edge closer to our goal of 100% of the UHS parents donating to the Annual Fund.
